The Balm of the Beast – Sebastian

Since the summer of 2024, colored-pencil drawings and small poems have come to me, which I call soul messages. They make me aware of the animal aspects of my humanity and, in the same moment, my divinity. Sometimes the insights of the animals surprise me, like discovering a bright treasure in deep darkness – a light not at the end of the tunnel, but within me. As a human, I no longer stand between one thing and another, between the animal and the divine. I do not need to choose between light or darkness, love or power, because I realize: I am both, as loving-power, and I am hatching something entirely new.

Often I am made aware, through events and other people, of what rages within me like a wild beast. And only here, within me, can it be completed, because I can now recognize it from a higher perspective. I do not kill the beast; I meet it with love. Instead of judging it or defending myself, I embrace it. Then the beast transforms like in a fairy tale – only now it becomes reality.

I experienced this through a soul message the beast gave me:

The Balm of the Beast

The beast, root of the unfolding of all your lower instincts.
From the summit you listen to its roars, fading as echoes.
You know it is over, you gently place your hand on its cheek.
Down into the valley shines your radiant rainbow garland.

What you could not finish before completes itself here.
You take leave of the beast; it takes all fears from you.
Your heart vibrates immensely high, worlds connect in kindness.
What remains of the beast? A sacred balm. The pure joy of your cells.

A Fairy Tale Comes True

Perhaps the fairy tale becomes true within each of us, when we meet the beast in the corners of our consciousness.

Perhaps it rages angrily in shadowy corridors for one person, maybe it sits deeply sad in a dungeon for another. Its transformation often needs time and works in waves. Sometimes we first reach our hand through the bars and tell it that we love it, before we open the prison door and embrace it.

The one who rejoices most in this embrace is the beast itself. For now it fulfills its purpose like a fruit that releases new seeds as it decays.

With this new sowing we may experience what it feels like when the wolf dwells with the lamb and the leopard lies down with the young goat.

Perhaps then we come together and just marvel, each in its own way, like a child. And we rejoice, because in the end it is a child’s play.
